Scientific Anglers System 9 ReelA Scientific Anglers System #9 fly reel made in England by Hardy. Currently set up for RHW though easily convertible. 3 3 4" diameter with capacity for up to a WF9 and 120 yards of backing. Two screw latch and single screw reversible line guard. Fair used condition with some normal wear to the frame, and a line is currently loaded on it. Comes in the original SA pouch.

The ferrule fits are nice and tight and the rod is generally straight

With a big fish on you can pop it in for extra leverage and to keep your reel away from any tangles from your vest or pack

The rod weighs 3 3/8 oz and the action is medium fast with a slightly parabolic feel

the rod is all original

A brown poplin bag is fitted to the rod and the tube is original with brass fittings

The rod is wrapped in dark brown with orange

Second there are a couple of small pieces of tape on the cover at bottom

The original ribbed brass foot is full length and unmolested

The cork is only lightly soiled and free of any defects
