RW Lancaster Bow River Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #5/6A RW Lancaster "Bow River" model bamboo fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 or #6 line. 4. 8 ounces. Serial #261V997. Medium fast action. Mint condition. The cane is flamed and looks like it is impregnated. Belt sanded nodes. The wraps are a honey color with black edges. Ceramic stripping guide and black snake guides. Oxidized swiss style ferrules. Large cork grip that is 7" long and similar to a half wells profile. The downlocking
The grip is made up from 1/4" rings and the ferrule is an 8/64" stepdown CSE
The spring is nice and tight
The rim tensioner works perfectly
as there is no writing on the shaft
This rod is in used but well cared for condition
The varnish is good
The agate stripper is oxidized and the snake guides and tip tops are black
