Leonard Bimetal fly reel made by Philbrook & Paine in the last quarter of the 19th century. Clearly marked "H. L. Leonard Pat. June 12, 1877". Constructed with a bronze frame, german silver sideplates, foot, handle arm, and spool. The pillar to pillar diameter is ~2. 6" (without pillars it is ~2. 2"). The spool width is ~ 1". Hard rubber handle grasp. Excellent overall and fully original condition. The
