The ivory handle remains in excellent condition. The nickel silver rim tension regulator screw works perfectly. Duplicated MKII check with one engageable pawl and one spare. Mechanically the reel is excellent as well with no spindle spool movement. a very tight example. There are no cracks, chips, or
you may never see another in like new condition
Bound in orange leather with gilt title and decoration
which is adequately strong
The reel will hold a five-weight line plus backing
Minor use marks in the varnish
gold/yellow wraps with black edges
Spine slightly separated at front of catalogue but solid mostly throughout
Ferrules are 12/64 and the fit is excellent
The qualities inherent to glass allows for lively fights
The rod is fair condition
