William IV Flame mahogany fold down sofa tableThis is a very high quality William IV flame mahogany sofa table with fold down sides. This came from a beautiful house in York and is a very special example. The legs have strung detail and the brass paw casters are totally original. Overall condition is very good with a few light marks consistent with age on the top. The sides fold down and a particularly nice detail in the roundel that is present on all 4 supports for when the table top is out.

This may not be the extremely rare 18th century example but it still has a huge amount of charm and great quality

The stretchered base makes this a great casual dining table or central island in a kitchen for prepping food on

The colour of the timber is stunning and the design is classic with its lower shelf and tapered legs it will fit well in a number of interiors

Its a lovely pale colour and very tactile

This example is a traditional white and Pink thick wool berber rug
