RESERVED 18th century Oval Elm French Farmhouse dining tableThis is a very attractive late 18th early 19th century Oval topped Elm dining table. It is French in origin and is totally original as far as I can see. The colour and patina to the elm is wonderful and this continues from the top all the way down the legs. There is a neat drawer on one side that is a lovely detail. The proportions of this table make it very practical and ideal for 10 12 sitters. There is a historic mark on the top to one side. It

The pad feet of the lamp and bold central support make this huge decorative and I do love how the piece sits

This is a very high quality early 20th century in the manner of Howard and sons

The metal galleries have a great patina as well

It has a particularly haunting look not just down to the subject but with the quality of the way it has been done

The whole design is effortlessly elegant with minimal details and capped with casters on each leg

The piece sits sturdily and will make a fabulous addition to a room with a large mirror or painting hanging above it

There is also a lot of the original gilt decoration around the drawers and the side panels
