RL Winston Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #4A nice RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip built for a #4 line. Serial #2553. Glenn Bracket era rod. Pleasing medium fast action. Excellent, very lightly used condition, it certainly does not appear to have been fished much. Medium wheatstraw cane done in a three up node pattern construction. Very nice varnish throughout, with just one tiny cosmetic blemish on the varnish on the female ferrule which came from use. Honey colored wraps

The casting ability of the rods and attention to detail that they put into each rod is tremendous

The box remains in mint unused condition and includes the original box

I made this rod approximately during 1990-1993 for Larry foster to maintain his Leonard trademarks

The strap over tensioner works as it should increasing the spring's tension throughout a wide range

The screw barrel and nut are expertly machined
