Hardy Perfect 3 7/8" Reel with CaseA very nice Hardy perfect fly reel, 3 7 8" diameter and set up for RHW. An enamel model circa 1950s. Excellent used condition with some fading of the enamel on the frame edges but the plates are very clean and there are no major defects that I could find. The agate in the lineguard is crack free. unventilated sideplates are in perfect shape

The rod was very well cared for

presumably to keep from scuffing it while resting the rod streamside

Dual aluminum sliding band reel seat over a mortised cork spacer

only lined with backing which is included with the reel

Wood lip acts as the rear cork check in one of the older catskill traditions
