1962 Fender USA Short Scale Vintage Musicmaster (Maroon Burst)One of the first "student" models Fender ever produced that has since become a favourite among collectors and players alike, this is a 1962 build Fender USA Musicmaster wearing the classic "Maroon Burst" nitro finish. With a solid body bolted to a maple neck with the smaller 22. 5" scale length slab rosewood fingerboard (39mm nut width), it weighs 2. 8kg's. Simple both inside and out, this one appears to be all original with a single coil pickup

Loaded with a Floyd Rose Original tremolo along with Seymour Duncan JBJ in the bridge

frets have some light wear but were polished and play smoothly with no issues

bolt on slim 60's mahogany neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (628mm scale length)

Modules  that generate control signals can be controlled too

Loaded with the original Maxon made mini humbuckers (designed exclusively for these models) that sound absolutely magnificent

plays and sounds great with a straight neck and adjustable truss

The finish on the body and the fingerboard has worn off and the back of the neck was sanded smooth for a nice satin feel

The reason for the name change was due to a price drop of semiconductors in the 1980's
