roman tunica mars 1The wool tunica is crafted from a wool mix and has been modelled after several original Roman tunicae from the second half of the 1st century BC until the second half of the 1st century AD. Depictions may be seen on the Roman graves in Bonn, the Luxor fresco in Egypt, and amongst the excavations of Legio VIII Augusta in fort Vindonissa in Switzerland. The tunica measures 105 cm in length and 76 cm in width.
