The design draws on Glasgows rich ceramic history and heritage. It echoes a plate made in Bells Pottery factory in the late 1880s and is layered with meaning, symbols and images representing Glasgows past and present. Through the making of this plate an historic connection between the cities of Glasgow and Stoke on Trent has been rekindled,
