Fine Regency Sofa Table, attributed to GillowsA particularly elegant English George III early Regency period sofa table of faded mahogany, in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster and London, circa 1800. Why we like it The mahogany has faded over time to a splendid mellow colour and has acquired a rich patina. Very few pieces from that period have survived to these days in such remarkably untouched original condition, and this rare survivor not only possesses originality but also grace and style.
