There is both good energy and a bit more refinement to the lightly stony medium weight plus flavors that evidence just a touch of tannic edginess on the lingering finish

a wine that could be approached on the earlier side

but it should still drink well over a couple of decades

I tend to like more fruit rather than the oxidized and aged characteristics of the very old tawnys

ripe fruit tones and diverse spice notes

Note that the structure is almost completely resolved

An exuberantly spicy nose features additional aromas of black cherry

There is enough wood to notice along with a hint of menthol on the markedly earthy red and dark berry fruit aromas where background hints of spice and floral elements are in evidence

An exceptionally fresh

there's fruit too—at least some

with lots of style
