Peerless 2A Fly ReelA nice little Peerless 2A fly reel, 3 1 2" diameter and set up for LHW. Mint, unused condition. Clear anodized frame with black anodized sideplates. The maker and model name have been etched into the backplate which also features the drag adjuster. A great chance to get a classically styled S handle reel at a reasonable price. It weighs 5. 2 ounces on my scale. This model is designed for #5 or #6 weight lines. It packs into the original leather zip
The leaded finish sports a stunning bronze effect
The rod features straw-colored cane with transparent light honey wraps and chestnut tipping
24 wide x 18 tall
No corrosion
The reel comes with a very uncommon half-ribbed alloy foot (see 1962 Hardy catalogue)
The hard rubber sideplates have turned slightly brownish
Fixed drag with a nice loud click
The ferrules are 12/64 and the ferrule fit is tight and excellent
shearling-lined case
The rod is in mint condition with the original plastic still on the grip
Flamed cane in a mild "tiger stripe" pattern
Varnished light to a medium dark flame treatment
