This reel carries the '96 patent date on the oil cap. Serial number V398 dating the reel to 1929. German silver hard rubber construction. Aluminum spool and foot. No chips cracks in the hard rubber sideplates. The reel has an adjustable drag and click and the five detent arrowhead pointer drag
