Hardy Uniqua 3 5/8" fly reel - earlyFor sale here is a very scarce and early Hardy Uniqua model 3 5 8" diameter with the early flat caliper spring check. Marked Hardy's Patent "Uniqua" Reel. Ivory handle. Mechanically the reel is still in good condition with a RHW fixed check and some end play like most Uniqua style reels. The original 3" long smooth brass foot has been very slightly filed. No cracks, chips, dings. A line groove exists on the stripping pillar. A very nice and rare old

Beautiful rod

The rod features light tempered cane with crimson wraps and gold tipping at the winding check and male ferrules

Spiral signature wrap midway between the grip and stripping guide

Along with the flies in the box are a description card of the flies as well as a Jack Gartside signed business card

The only marks are very small handling/machining marks

The palming spool has a small counterbalance on it and the reel comes in a standard Bogdan brown leather drawstring bag (inside the bag is an additional serpentine handle to re-convert to a standard side plate from the palming spool)
