The circular ruffle draws from the 1978 film Follie di Notteruffled blouses, tiered skirts, fabric cut to exaggerate movement under nightclub lighting. On the table, it behaves the same way. The edge gathers, lifts, and collapses back onto itself, catching shadow and dulling the gloss of surrounding glass.
